Wellness, not medical care
DiaLens is a wellness app for nutrition and activity awareness. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it never recommends, adjusts or calculates medication or insulin doses.
Information about carbs, glycemic index, glycemic load, added sugar and activity is general context to help you notice patterns. Always follow the advice of your doctor, dietitian or care team, and never delay or ignore medical advice because of something you saw in DiaLens. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
AI estimates
Dia uses AI to recognise food and estimate portions and nutrients. Estimates can be wrong, especially for mixed dishes, sauces and portion sizes. Check them and edit them when something looks off. Dia Coach replies are suggestions, not instructions.
Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. You must be at least 16, give accurate information, and keep access to your sign-in account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Subscriptions
- DiaLens is free to start. Premium is an optional subscription with the price shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store and follows their terms. We never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your store account; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy.
- Premium includes generous allowances for AI features, subject to fair use so the service stays fast for everyone.
Fair and safe use
Please do not misuse DiaLens. In particular, do not:
- upload content that is illegal, harmful, or that you do not have the right to share;
- try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around limits or security in the app or its servers;
- use automated means to access the service, or resell it;
- use DiaLens to make decisions about someone else’s medical care.
Your content
You own the meals, photos, notes and messages you add. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide DiaLens to you, as described in the privacy policy. DiaLens itself, including its design, software and brand, belongs to us.
Limits
We work hard to keep DiaLens accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to [LIABILITY CAP]. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Ending
You can stop using DiaLens and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. If we change them in a significant way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
